According to Romania Actualitati radio station, the Pro Democratia chairman Cristian Parvulescu said that still very many Romanians believe that the elections are rigged with the mayoral help and support, given before the elections.
‘The situation is approximately the same, through buying the votes, through electoral tourism.
On the other hand, the change of the voting results, at the polling stations, continues to be very important,’ said Cristian Parvulescu, who also stressed that an overwhelming majority, namely 89 percent of the respondents think a sever punishment is required for those caught with such fraud methods.
Cartel Alfa Trade Union Confederation, the Pro Democratia Association and the Media Monitoring Agency announced they would survey the day of the presidential election, as well as the politicians’ performance, by then.
The Pro Democratia Association will monitor the candidates’ outdoor publicity, and the Media Monitoring Agency will watch the candidates’ performance on radio and TV, the topics and the messages they broadcast here.
On the elections’ day, the three organizations will ensure a sufficiently large number of observers, at the polling stations presenting a certain suspicion degree.
