He made it clear that this subject was dealt with in a meeting of the PSD national standing bureau and the Social Democrats did not want to make Lucian Croitoru “feel embarrassed.”
“We are going to meet Mr Lucian Croitoru in a complete group in order to tell him on this occasion too that there was a majority which was set up in Parliament and which has a different nomination [Klaus Johannis] and that we did not want to make him feel embarrassed. The man making him feel embarrassed is President Traian Basescu, who designated him after Parliament defined a coalition that nominated a candidate for Prime Minister, Klaus Johannis,” said the PSD deputy.
The leaders of the opposition parties invite the candidate nominated by Romania’s President for the position of Premier on Tuesday, at the Parliament Palace, said PSD chairman Mircea Geoana on Sunday.
The President of the Senate made it clear that they chose the Human Rights Room as it has a symbolical name for the current political moment.
He said that the step to be taken on Tuesday had a predictable answer from the opposition, which supports current Mayor of Sibiu Klaus Johannis for the position of Premier and added that still it was taken by “civilized people who do not want to give the impression they are arrogant to a minimally constitutional procedure,”
