“This Government makes all efforts in order to observe all commitments towards the European Commission, the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank and that is why we work both for the finalization of the Fiscal responsibility law and to get ready the budget draft (on 2010 – editor’s note), so that it is sent as soon as possible to the Parliament and as such we can respect all our pledges”, said Emil Boc.
The incumbent head of the Executive also referred to the farm subsidies among the topics on the Cabinet’s agenda. “Currently we seek a financial solution, so we can grant the first installment of the per capita subsidy and we hope that this week or next week at the latest we can offer a financial solution to the farmers who are animal breeders”, said the incumbent Premier.
Asked if there is a solution in keeping on the current Executive till after the presidential elections Emil Boc replied that the decision on investing a new government is a Parliament’s prerogative.
“This government will fulfill its duties till the last second of its existence and the decision how long it will stay in office is up to the Parliament.
The legislative is the one which will establish the moment when the new government will take over. Till then, I can assure you that this government will do everything it can to show respect for the public money, on one hand and to solve people’s priorities at this moment”, underlined Emil Boc.
