The unanimous decision of the parliamentary majority is to support Klaus Iohannis for the PM seat, leader of the Social Democratic Party (PSD) Mircea Geoana announced on Sunday at the Parliament Palace.
“The support for Iohannis is solid and operational and we have assured him that, at the right moment, he will be free to choose his ministerial team,” Geoana said.
Geoana reconfirmed the constructive atmosphere within the parliamentary majority that is functional and will produce effects in Parliament.
According to Basescu, “the place of the Liberal Democratic Party is in opposition, and Traian Basescu’s place after December 6th, is outside the Cotroceni Palace (presidential offices, edťs note).”
