Loading ...President Traian Basescu on Tuesday, at the Cotroceni Palace, told the ceremony during which some sportsmen were decorated that he wanted the Ministry of Youth and Sports to be maintained even if a restructuring of the governmental formulas were necessary.
“I wish you much success and assure you that what I have promised, namely to set up a ministry of youth and sports, is still a promise I am going to keep even if a restructuring of the governmental formulas were necessary.
I shall try to maintain this ministry for the questions of sports, of youth to be discussed with the prime minister every week. I am thanking you a lot and wish you much success in the competitions you are going to take part in,” said the President.
President Traian Basescu decorated several sportsmen who got special results in the international competitions in 2009. Interim Minister Sorina Placinta attended the above-mentioned event too.
