According to him, 46,100 policemen will ensure the security at the polling stations, while 16,500 will ensure the general public order.
Vasile Blaga also announced that once with the official launch of the electoral campaign on Friday October 23 there will also be launched on the public radio and TV stations a parallel campaign too to be titled ‘Illegal Voting Leads to Prison’, meant to inform and keep aware the citizens.
‘It is for the first time when an institution of the state carries out such a campaign in Romania. This campaign was meant to complete the operational mission and the MAľs role as the organizer of the elections. The campaign in the media will be carried out during the entire electoral campaign.
In fact, I would like to have it continued in the very day of the elections too. There will be spread some 800,000 posters and brochures and there will be also launched the votcorect.ro Web site where people will be able to leave their notes on any irregularities they might see in the day of the polling,’ Minister Blaga said.
