Loading ...He suggested that this political demarche be accompanied by a letter to President Traian Basescu signed by all the parliamentarians of the opposition Social Democratic Party + Conservative Party (PSD+PC) alliance, the National Liberal Party (PNL), the Hungarian Democratic Union of Romania (UDMR) and of the group of national minorities other than the Hungarian minority.
‘This demarche is a deed of democratic consciousness, of democratic warning. The deed we make today is a natural one; it is our attempt to provide an answer to the ongoing political crisis toward which President Traian Basescu has cynically and deliberately steered us. We arrived at a stage where we have to influence, using the weapons of democracy, the decisions to follow. We are conveying a message to Romania and the President: there is currently no more costly, more dangerous and more national interest detrimental solution than continuing this masquerade,’ said Geoana.
The PSD chief argued that the President and Prime Minister-designate Lucian Croitoru have to admit after talking with PSD, PNL and UDMR that Croitoru has no parliamentary backing.
Commenting on the Democratic-Liberal Party (PD-L) having walked out the room during the meeting, Geoana said that PD-L’s action is increasing the political isolation in which PD-L finds itself under the leadership of the President.
‘This action disqualifies PD-L. The Democratic Liberals were perfectly entitled to expressing an opinion, but they left the room for a party meeting, in fact for campaigning for Basescu,’ said Geoana.

N-am de gand sa-jur pe nimeni , dar nici sa laud cvandidatii la presedintie . Fiecare promite ceva(?) dar cel mai tare este Basescu pentru referendumul impotriva asa zisei clase politice , in fapt fostii comunisti si securistii din vremurile de mult apuse .
Noi sa tacem si sa votam minciunile lu’Geoana , Antonescu , Vadim , etc..
Dintre toti la fel ca-n 2004 Basescu reprezinta cel mai mic rau pentru cetateni . Nu-l simpatizez dar ….. ceilalti sunt flamanzi rau…
