According to a Ministry of Foreign Affairs release, Bogdan Mazuru presented Romania’s vision on the enhancement of BSEC-EU interaction, the need of consolidating the economic cooperation within BSEC based on a more pragmatic relations with the European Union and of attracting Community funds for the implementation of regional projects. As well, Romania’s contribution to the process of implementation of the Black Sea Synergy was mentioned.
State secretary for European affairs reiterated support for the implementation of some regional projects of interest for Romania amid which: Black Sea ring road motoryway, maritime routes to the Black Sea and facilitation of cargo transport by road. As well, the importance of the energy dimension of this cooperation in the enlarged Black Sea region was underlined.
The meeting is marking the roundup evaluation moment during Azerbaijan mandate, the half year president of this organization, as well as the take over of this mandate by Bulgaria.
The Council’s debates were focused on the amplification of cooperation between BSEC member states in view to diminish the international economic and financial crisis effects, as well as on the concrete measures for the continuation and consolidation of BSEC reform process.
