“Prior to the government’s toppling there was no risk of a wage payment default. But after that, under condition that the European Commission and IMF delegations announced their intention to postpone their mission to Romania, we incurred the risk not to receive the respective disbursements in December. We might have had some problems.
Due to IMF wish to come to Romania this risk is diminished and the formation of a new government would represent another guarantee of those payments”, said the PM. In his opinion, the approval of the future government by the Parliament, at the same time when the IMF delegation visits Romania, will represent guarantees to this end.
