“I start from the premise that this Government will pass and it’s this assumption we build on, and no other alternative. PD-L is working on the variant that the Croitoru government will get the Parliament’s nod,” Emil Boc declared on Tuesday in the city of Cluj. The PD-L president said that all Liberal Democratic MPs will vote for the Croitoru government, and so will do other MPs from other parties.
“The PD-L MPs will all vote for the Croitoru government and I hope the other MPs will understand that at this time, the country’s interests stand above the political ambitions of Crin Antonescu, Mircea Geoana or Marko Bela, or personal interests. And if they understand this, the government will pass,” said Boc.
The acting PM said that the government he is leading is working on the 2010 Budget law and that they also consulted in this regard Premier designate Lucian Croitoru.
“We discussed with Mr. Croitoru some macroeconomic principles, we are now working at Ministry level, after which the Government will hold a meeting to put together all data related to the state budget,” said Boc.
Emil Boc added that the current government is entitled to work on next year’s budget, because it actually steers the country. “This government actually holds the reins of power and will continue its activity until the next government takes the oath before the President of Romania,” said Boc.
