‘What interests us is to see the talents and skills of disabled people so that we may assess their developmental potentials,’ said CFCECAS Chairman Herbert Paulischin.
He also introduced an Austrian model for dealing with disabled people and commended the Romanian officials for cooperation.
He said the project marked close cooperation with the Romanian Labour Ministry, because some of the institutions involved in the project has an opportunity to learn about the first hand experience of disabled people in Austria and opted for this ideological implementation in Romania.
The project aims to create and implement an integrated model for professional training and assessment that will support an increase in the participation and inclusion on the labour market of people with physical and mental disabilities.
The project has received 5 million euros from the European Social Fund to be used for project implementation.
Attending the conference besides CFCECAS officials were also officials of other associations dealing with disabled people in Romania and Austria, including Romania’s National Institute for the Prevention and Combat of Social Exclusion of Disabled People (INPCESPH), the BBRZ Centre for Professional Training and Rehabilitation of Austria, the ProMente association of Austria, the OBDS Austrian Association of Social Workers and the Romanian National Organisation for the Disabled (ONPHR).
