The Hungarian Democratic Union of Romania (UDMR) officials are also awaited at the Victoria Palace (Romanian Government hqs.), on Sunday afternoon, the PM designate announcing they would also talk on Monday Dec 9, if needed, before lodging the ministers’ list to the Parliament.
Negoita held talks only with the Democratic Liberal Party (PD-L) leaders Adriean Videanu and Vasile Blaga, at the Victoria Palace, on Saturday, Nov 7.
The Social Democratic Party (PSD) officials announced on Friday Nov 6, they would not support a government formed by Liviu Negoita and predicted it would have the same fate like the Croitoru Cabinet.
PSD vice-president Victor Ponta reaffirmed that the PSD-PC (Conservative Party) Alliance backs up Klaus Johannis for prime minister.
National Liberal Party (PNL) president Crin Antonescu said on Saturday, that PNL would keep its stance not to attend the consultations with Premier designate Liviu Negoita, explaining that the consultations are no use as long as President Traian Basescu denied taking into account the new parliamentary majority’s option, which proposed Klaus Johannis for prime minister, for a second time.
UDMR head Marko Bela said he would also hold consultations with the PNL and the PSD officials saying that, at the moment it is valid what it was agreed on, namely to endorse Klaus Johannis.
The national minorities group continues supporting Klaus Johannis, while that of the independent parliamentarians announced by its representative Gabriel Oprea that they are waiting for the ministers that Negoita proposes and if it is considered competent, it will be voted.
