The Ministry of Public Finance (MFP) on Monday, Nov 9, placed a 1-year discount T-bonds issue, raising RON 104.3 million, for an average yield of 10 pct per annum, announced the National Bank of Romania (BNR).
The issue was worth a total of RON 1.2 billion. The 13 banks’ total bid was RON 1.68 billion, with the MFP rejecting the buy bids by commercial banks for the benchmark bonds with an ask yield higher than 10 percent.
A number of 13 primary dealers placed bids at the auction: Alpha Bank Romania, BRD – Groupe Societe Generale, Banca Comerciala Romana (BCR), Banca Comerciala Carpatica, Banca Transilvania, Bancpost, Citibank Romania, CEC Bank, ING, MKB Romexterra, Raiffeisen Bank, RBS Bank Romania and UniCredit Tiriac Bank.
