Loading ...Chamber of Deputies on Tuesday decided the modification of art. 26 of Law on the organization and functioning of the Government that will allow the dismissed cabinet of Emil Boc to present the draft budget on 2010.
No vote against has been registered, only two abstentions. The Chamber of Deputies is the first notified chamber, but the draft law is to be debated also by the Senate. Concretely, the modification refers to art. 26 of Law 90/2001 on the organization and functioning of the Government, so that in exceptional situations, a dismissed government, but still in office until the new cabinet is sworn-in to be able to submit to Parliament the draft law on the state budget and social insurance.
The modification has received the approval of all parliamentary parties, but it was initiated by the Social Democratic Party (PSD) and the National Liberal Party (PNL), however the Democrat- Liberal Party (PD-L) joined the initiative subsequently.
