‘The purpose of this meeting was to prepare the implementation of the law on restructuring of government agencies [...] The law says the Government has to issue resolutions before dissolving or restructuring such agencies subjected to the law,’ Emil Boc explained, early at the meeting held at the Victoria Palace.
The Premier also specified he was going to work with the Secretaries of State on the government resolutions so that to eliminate from the very beginning any kind of problems from a legal viewpoint. He also reminded this was the restructuring process of the state apparatus promised by his Cabinet in the very beginning of its term in office and which was part of the Government’s project ‘to reduce the oversized state apparatus’ too.
‘We have resorted to the assumption of responsibility procedure to be sure we achieved our aim. This was also part of our commitment to the European Commission and the International Monetary Fund and also part of our project to reduce the oversized state apparatus, starting with the government agencies’, the interim Premier said.
The decree over the promulgation of the law on the restructuring of public institutions and authorities, the rationalization of the public spending, the supporting of the business environment and the observing of the framework agreements with the European Commission and the International Monetary Fund on Monday was published in the Official Gazette on Monday. President Traian Basescu on November 5 promulgated the law on the restructuring of the public agencies, after its validation by the Constitutional Court.
