Geoana argues that Romania is currently split in two: a thriving Romania and a monoindustrial Romania, which is not included in the economic circuit because it has very low economic potential. In the latter half, said Geoana, is Caras-Severin County, because the county has undergone brutal economic restructuring and also because it is a complicated county in terms of geography.
Nevertheless, the PSD+PC candidate says the differences between the two halves will have to be ironed out and a good President can do that. ‘In the five years since I became the chairman of PSD I have travelled the entire country and I know both the thriving and the poor parts and also I know how it is abroad. I want to give back of my experience because I do not want to see Romania being kneeled down.
And for this, I am asking for the vote of the people,’ said Geoana. Geoana argues that among the most important issues that should be solved as soon as possible are developing the industry and infrastructures and assisting farmers and the energy sector.
