Loading ...Geoana stressed on Thursday on the occasion of a debate which took place at the headquarters of the Romanian Academy, the importance of such a body set up in the United States, considering it is not clear whether the recovery of the American economy is related to a inflow of cash or the real effects prompted by the economic growth.
‘I invite you to think about the establishment of such a council for economic recovery. Groping in the battle against crisis has to stop,’ Geoana told the representatives of the Alliance of Professionals for Progress, organisation which organised under the aegis of the Romanian Academy, the debate ‘Where to after the crisis?’
Mircea Geoana criticized, however, another prospective scenario on the current adjustment of the currency exchange rate. In this respect, chairman of the Senate reaffirmed the importance of fiscality and stressed the importance of a new economic and social model for Romania of the 21 century.
Geoana pleaded for a strategy of sustainable development, which would include all the good aspects implemented over the 20 years. According to him, the agenda of sustainable development may be adopted in Parliament under the form of organic law, not before the concept’s debate by society.
