Romania’s President stressed that although a caretaker government, the country does have a government, but the ‘ridiculous’ situation is that according to the law, that government has no the right to promote draft laws, the Law on state budget, particularly, because it fell in the Parliament.
‘When have they thought correctly? When they removed the Government? When they rejected the second government or when they don’t want to receive the third government to be voted on? Then or today when they come and shout ‘we empower the Government to make the state budget’,” President Basescu wondered.
Likewise, Traian Basescu stressed that the goal of the Boc Government’s fall was to stop the programmes and the laws, which were to the assumed through responsibility in front of the Parliament and to install a prime minister who by an emergency ordinance was to annul the referendum on cutting the number of parliamentarians and on the unicameral Parliament.
“It was that the target! That’s why they brought Mr. (Klaus) Johannis ‘on a white horse,’ and behind him was the desire to annul the referendum, immediately. It is the logic of the political act,’ Basescu added.
