Information in English

Romanians from abroad, without valid identity documents, but who want to cast vote on November 22 have to address Romania’s consular sections of embassies and consulates.

‘The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends all those who do not have valid identity documents and want to cast vote on November 22 to address as soon as possible the Romanian consular sections of the embassies and consulates in order to obtain travel documents with which they may cast vote, according to the law,’ reads a news release sent on Sunday.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) stresses that only the Romanian consular sections of the embassies and consulates can release the travel documents. The aforementioned source emphasizes that the travel documents cannot be released within the polling stations which are in other location than a diplomatic mission or a consular office of Romania or which are in an honorific consulate.
