18 noiembrie 2009

Information in English

Caretaker Prime Minister Emil Boc said during an election rally, in Vaslui (eastern Romania) on Tuesday that the economic growth would begin from 2010. ‘We want to tell all Moldavia’s locals and all the Romanians that we back up Romania’s incumbent President Traian Basescu for a new term in office.”

“At the same time, we endorse the referendum on the reform of Romania’s Parliament. (…) We have proven together that we wish the Romanians well. We dismantled the insensitive pensions, we shut down the agencies that were spending too much money, and now the time has come for better times.

The draft budget for the next year is prevalently focused on investments and new jobs and 20 percent of the GDP is to go there. We are scraping the bottom of the barrel, but starting next year we’ll start feeling the economic growth, ‘ Emil Boc said. The meeting was staged by the Democratic Liberal Party (PD-L); also attending was Economy Minister Adriean Videanu.
