Foreign policy commission delegation pays official visit to Poland

A delegation of the foreign policy commission in the Deputies’ Chamber headed by Hungarian Democratic Union of Romania (UDMR) deputy Borbely Laszlo is paying an official visit to Poland on Nov. 17-19, with the talks focusing on major foreign policy issues such as the Lisbon Treaty, the setting up of the future European Commission, the Eastern Partnership, the relation with Russia and the situation in the Republic of Moldova.

The visit is being held at the invitation of chairman of the Seim’s foreign policy commission Andrzej Halicki. The agenda of the visit includes meetings with Polish Seim vice-president Stefan Niesiolowski, chairman of the European affairs commission Stanislaw Rakoczy, president of the Romania-Poland parliamentary friendship group Jadwiga Zakrzewska and undersecretary of state at the Polish Foreign Ministry Grazyna Bernatowicz.
