Another 68 cases of the H1N1 virus flu have been confirmed in the last 24 hours in Romania, pushing the total number to 1,465 cases so far. Most cases reported in the last 24 hours were in Bucharest (14), the northeastern Botosani county (13) and eastern Bacau (12).
Following the new flu cases confirmed in schools in the last 24 hours, classes will be suspended for seven days starting Tuesday in several primary schools and high schools.
State Secretary at the Health Ministry Prof. Dr. Adrian Streinu Cercel said on Tuesday the situation continues to be monitored and he pointed out that according to the latest information, the virus has not yet suffered mutations.
