The Bulgarian side will be represented by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Krassimir Kostov, with the two officials following to approach such issues of an immediate interest, such as the announced institutional changes in the context of the close coming into force of the Treaty of Lisbon, climate change, economic and financial downturn and energy safety.
A special attention was paid also to the process of expanding the European Union and the EU policy toward the Western Balkans, the relation between the EU and the Republic of Moldova, the preparing by the EU of a Strategy for the Danube region, the relationship between EU and Russia and European Union’s initiatives in the Black Sea region.
