Information in English

The Central Election Bureau (BEC) has accredited on Wednesday the Romanian Marketing Association AROMAR to conduct an exit poll in the first round of presidential balloting and in the runoff vote.

The first round of the presidential elections is held on Sunday, with a second round being scheduled for Dec. 6. The BEC also accredited SC Profile Communication SRL to conduct an exit poll in the runoff in the southern Dambovita county. They add to other pollsters that have already been approved by the BEC.

They include the Centre for Urban and Regional Sociology CURS, the Company for Sociological Research and Branding Forum SRL (CCSB), the Romanian Institute for Evaluation and Strategy IRES, the Centre for the Opinion and Market Survey (CSOP), INSOMAR Political Research and Marketing and IPP Data Research.
The accreditation allows the pollster representatives access in an area of 500 metres around the polling stations, but they are not allowed to enter the polling stations-proper, the BEC decided.
