Loading ...Thus CCR admitted the National Liberal Party (PNL) notification regarding the unconstitutionality of the law on education, after the Court took note, on Nov 4, that during the deliberation on the notification regarding that normative act no vote majority had been achieved, and it had to be judged upon, once again.
PNL lodged with the CCR, on Sept. 23, the notification regarding the unconstitutionality of the law on the national education prevalently aimed at the specifications on the high school graduation exams, which would have discriminated between the students attending state-run schools and the graduates of the private education units.
Also overruled were the provisions on the universities autonomy and the discrimination the law makes between those born before and those born after the law comes in force, stipulating that every Romanian citizen shall receive 500 euros when they are born. PNL drew the attention there were several law stipulations showing that the university and the high school education remained politicized. The Emil Boc Government, on Sept. 15, assumed responsibility before Parliament for the draft law on national education.
