MApN to organize five polling stations in theaters of operations

The Romanian Ministry of National Defence (MApN) is to organize for the troops deployed for missions in operations theaters five polling stations for the presidential elections and for the national referendum on Nov. 22, MApN informs.

As such, voting stations will be organized in Afghanistan and Kosovo, where the Romanian military can exercise their voting rights: in Kabul, Kandahar and Qalat, in Afghanistan; in Peci and Pristina, in Kosovo.
As well, the Romanian military running activities as observers within the international missions or in the framework of some international military representations of Romania could cast their vote at Romania’s diplomatic mission in the countries they are deployed.

Troops, school students and students from military education forms, voluntary soldiers and officers, as well as civilian staff can vote, in conformity with the law, in their locality of residence or in the garrisons where they run their activity, the quoted source also informs.
