None of the cases under suspicion was confirmed, either that of a patient in Botosani (north¬east), or that of a 2-year old girl, both believed to have died because of the H1N1 flu.
Cercel stressed that the severe cases had been given a special attention, emphasizing that there were 6 people with ages ranging between 26 and 40, and five of them also suffer from associated diseases, like high blood pressure, diabetes and pneumonia. The severest is the case of a 26-year-old patient, Professor Streinu Cercel said.
As for the vaccine against the new flu, the Gendarmerie vehicles will begin distributing it starting Nov. 26, because they are appropriately equipped to transport the vaccine at a temperature of 2-8 C degrees. The doses will be allotted to the public health directorates and the gendarmes will watch the places where they are stored, because the vaccine is very expensive and it must be avoided the situation they would reach a different place, the state secretary said.
