Predoiu says that all the electoral materials needed for the vote abroad have been made available in time, as requested by the law. ‘All the polling centres abroad are headed by career diplomats. Where the diplomatic missions were lacking staff, we have seconded staff from the Foreign Ministry’s central offices,’ says Predoiu.
Predoiu also says that all this makes him confident that the vote process abroad will be conducted within the legal limits without turbulences.
Acting Foreign Minister Catalin Predoiu on Friday issued a circular letter to all the Romanian diplomatic missions abroad in which it warns about the importance of the Sunday’s presidential election, underscoring that the ballot has to be carried out in full transparency and political neutrality.
