The Social Democratic Party (PSD) is urging Minister of Administration and Interior Vasile Blaga to halt, ‘at least at the end of the election process,’ the vote irregularities already signaled by the PSD officials, who have filed more than 500 vote fraud complaints, PSD spokesman Bogdan Niculescu Duvaz said on Sunday.
‘This election has recorded the highest number of vote irregularities, which we have notified in over 500 complaints. This is an almost normal outcome, if we consider that the interior minister is the secretary general of the Democratic-Liberal Party (PD-L) and informal chief the Traian Basescu’s election campaign,’ Duvaz told a news conference.
He also called on the public opinion and the authorities to step in to prevent any vote fraud. He also said that ‘the sum total of the irregularities may distortion the outcome of the election, but they cannot change it.’
