The U.N. General Assembly designated the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women to be marked on each Nov. 25, all over the world.
‘The Movement for Equality, Non-Discrimination and Social Opportunities warns against the alarmingly high rates of the scourge both in the countryside and in towns and cities, among all the social professional categories, and asks the authorities in charge with fighting against domestic violence to act efficiently for diminishing the violence against the women,’ the press release says.
