The procedure for the vesting of the Liviu Negoita Government cannot be stopped, because the Constitution does not allow it, president of the Liberal Democratic Party (PD-L) and interim Prime Minister Emil Boc said on Thursday, after the meeting of the party’s Steering College. Boc reiterated that PD-L further supports the Cabinet proposed by Prime Minister-designate Liviu Negoita.
Asked to comment on the statements of Social Democratic Party (PSD) vice president Victor Ponta according to whom PSD will stop the vesting procedure, Emil Boc argued that the Constitution does not allow it. “You cannot withdraw the Negoita Government, because the constitutional procedure is ongoing.
You cannot withdraw what the Constitution does not allow you to. If you want to disregard everything in this country you can freely imagine anything. Perhaps iťs a first message on how the PSD is trying to usher in the next government,” said the Liberal Democratic leader.
