The town planner told a news conference on Thursday that “an American company wants to build a plant making power from barley and wheat straw as well as from other vegetable scraps.” The building would be erected near malt producing plant, which was built by the French company Grup Souflet.
The mayor of Buzau also said that, as the French investment finalized in 2009 was higher than 70 million euros, the municipality offered five-year tax exemptions for land and three-year ones for buildings, their value being about 1.8 million euros.
“The same advantages will also go to the American company that wants to use the straw of the barley malt is made of for producing electric power. This way the two plants will work together happily,” also said Constantin Boscodeala, who made it clear that “we have offered the American company a 5-hectare location to build the plant.”
