He thus referred to the “anti-Basescu alliance” concluded on Friday in Buzau by the Social Democratic Party (P SD), the National Liberal Party (PNL) and four non-parliamentary parties.
“I was a ruling partner to PSD for nine months, but in Buzau I have never sat down at table with PSD as I started working in policy, being sure that this way of working in politics and of having a country under control must change and I am not to make compromises in order to do more good to myself,” said Cezar Preda.
According to him, the “compromise PNL made in Buzau is not to be understood and is murderous for the ones who believed in Liberal values.” “I do not understand how a few people, who want to get some positions, are able to drag all voters who have always been related to the Democrat voters. Never, in our relations with them, have we betrayed and we have always kept our word,” added Cezar Preda.
“There are six parties against us in Buzau, but I am firmly convinced that Traian Basescu will defeat them as the Romanians are generally very careful when one tries to unite helplessness. They want a powerful President that should respect them and that should rule this country, not a candidate who shirks direct debates,” also said the PD-L vice-chairman.
