‘The three of us have agreed to be present tomorrow in a place and at a moment of great national symbolism in Timisoara, 20 years since the Revolution. We’ll have the opportunity there to meet other political leaders and non-governmental leaders in order to be able to send, on Romania’s National Day, a message regarding the last 20 years and the next 20 years, in which I hope Romania may be led better, more honestly and more efficiently’, Geoana said after a meeting with Antonescu and Johannis at Parliament Palace on Monday.
Johannis stressed he would attend the signing of the Partnership for Timisoara, but he would not take part in the electoral events. Geoana will face incumbent President Traian Basescu in the runoff vote for Romania’s top job on Dec. 6.
