According to the organizers of the debate on Thursday, the two candidates will discuss about two and a half hours. The debate will be held at the Parliament Palace, as was the debate before the first round of voting of the presidential election, in the Al I Cuza room, and will be moderated by journalist Robert Turcescu this time too.
The campaign staffs early this week agreed together with IPP on the candidates participating in an electoral debate organized by the same NGO that proved it was capable of ensuring a neutral framework and at the same time an organizationally efficient management of such an important event.
The debate to be organized by IPP will implicitly lead to the candidates’ points of view being covered by all TV stations concerned, namely by all the press institutions in Romania and abroad, said the organizers. As with the first debate, both the press institutions and the nongovernmental organizations will be able to ask the candidates a question. This must be a general one, addressable to either of the candidates. It will be taken out of the box by the moderator.
