Presidential poll comes to an end with polling stations closing on U.S.A. west coast

The vote in the presidential elections runoff came to an end on Monday morning, at 7:00 a.m., Romania’s time, when the last polling stations closed on the west coast of the United States.

As such, following the time zone difference of ten hours, the polling stations in Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco, Sacramento, Las Vegas, Orange County and Portland opened on Sunday at 5:00 p.m. Romania’s time and closed Monday morning, 7:00 a.m. Romania’s time. The presidential poll organized in the 294 polling stations all over the world had a 35-hour span, starting on Saturday at 8:00 p.m. Romania’s time in Australian city of Auckland and closing down on Monday morning on the U.S. west coast.
