‘Mr. Emil Boc addressed a letter to me and gave me a phone call in a very formal and polite manner, inviting us to a discussion, a negotiation over the assembly of a parliamentary majority.
We answered, equally politely – and I will call Mr. Boc as well – explaining to them that our opinion so far is that before there is a ruling of the court – because all these discussions will have to be conducted at a given moment with a President that is fully legitimated – and also as long as there is a Prime Minister-designate waiting for approval – Mr. Liviu Negoita – until this PM-designate has withdrawn his designation or the party votes him out, we obviously cannot have any discussion about that,’ said Antonescu.
The PNL chief voiced trust that the Constitutional Court will shortly issue ‘a fair ruling’ to the challenge lodged by the Social Democratic Party (PSD) against ‘ an electoral process freight with much and major fraud.’
