10 decembrie 2009

Information in English

A delegation headed by the Chief of the General Staff (SMG) of the Romanian Army, Admiral Gheorghe Marin, DSc, on Wednesday pays a visit to the Joint Multinational Training Command (JMTC) of the US Army, which is located at Hohenfels, Germany, say SMG officials.

The visit aims at identifying the means to develop Romanian-American bilateral relations as part of the programmes jointly training the forces that are to be deployed together in operations theatres. The JMTC is the biggest training centre of the US Army outside the national territory, which offers specialist training to the military that are to carry out missions in operations theatres, both to the Americans and to the ones in the NATO member states.

The Romanian military repeatedly benefited by the facilities of the Hohenfels centre, where they trained together with American military before beginning their missions in Afghanistan, reads the above-mentioned source.
