ACEA statistics are focused on the auto markets in the 28 European states – 25 in the European Union (without Cyprus and Malta) and three EFTA states – Iceland, Norway and Switzerland. In the first 11 months in 2009 a total of 217,881 Dacia cars were registered in the 28 European states, a jump of 27.3 percent from Jan. – Nov. 2008, when they reached 171,149 units.
Per total, Renault Group car sales on the 28 markets in the first 11 months of 2009 amounted at 1,007,651 units, down 3.4 percent from the first 11 months last year – 1,042,669 units.
New car registrations in Romania dropped in Nov. 2009 by 38.1 percent from the same month last year amounting at 8,490 units, compared to 13,713 units in Nov. 2008, according to ACEA statistics. In the first 11 months of the year a number of 104,666 new cars were registered on the Romanian market, a slump of 60.7 percent from the same period last year.
