Loading ...President Traian Basescu arrived in Copenhagen, on Thursday afternoon, where he is to attend the U.N. Conference on Climate Changes. President Basescu will deliver a speech to the plenary meeting where other heads of states and governments are also expected to make addresses.
Romania’s President will also attend the gala dinner that Queen Margaret II of Denmark and Prince Henrik of Denmark offer in honor of the heads of states and governments of the participating countries, later in the day. Basescu early on Friday is to attend the informal summit headed by Denmark’s Prime Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen.
A new plenary meeting is scheduled, after a working lunch, existing also the possibility that the Romanian president should hold a news conference, afterwards. The head of the Romanian Foreign Ministry’s Department for European Affairs Bogdan Manoiu and presidential advisor Anca Ilinoiu are accompanying President Basescu in the Conference in Copenhagen.
