PM-designate Boc: Future Cabinet to have three-four ministries less

The future Government will count for at least three to four ministries less than the PD-L – PSD former Cabinet, which numbered 19, on Thursday night said the premier-designate Emil Boc, for the OTV television station.

Emil Boc added that the Democratic-Liberal Party (PD-L) and the Hungarian Democratic Union of Romania (UDMR) will validate on Friday afternoon the candidates for the ministerial positions of the future Government. “Given the emergency of having a Government as soon as possible, we will try this weekend to send to the Parliament the governing programme and the Government members’ list, as the negotiation procedure in in full process”, Emil Boc said.

He specified that the two political formations will further the negotiations on Friday, and that in the afternoon they will validate their candidates for the positions in the new Government. Prime-Minister designate also said that he had a discussion with president Traian Basescu on the possibility to co-opt the former Social-Democratic minister Marian Sarbu in the future Cabinet, given that the head of state said that he wished the latter for the Labour and Social Protection portfolio.
