The Parliament will start debating the two draft laws on Jan. 11, as the Joint Bureaus of the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies decided on Dec. 29. According to the decision made by the speakers of the two chambers, Jan. 10 is the deadline for the Report by the joint commissions for budget and finance to be issued.
‘We know there is pressure being put on the Government due to the need to be disbursed the IMF loan tranches, and the budget should be approved by the meeting of the IMF board. It is for this reason that an extremely tight agenda has been scheduled,’ Chamber of Deputies vice-president Liberal Ludovic Orban has recently said. In his opinion, the Jan. 15 deadline set for the adoption of the draft law on the state budget and on the social security budget is realistic.
