So far, Piraeus Bank Romania SA has been carrying out operations under the Central Depository system both as clearing participant, ever since the setting up of the Central Depository, and also in its capacity as custodian agent, as of February 26, 2009.

The Central Depository is a fundamental institution of the capital market, which ensures clearing and settlement of the transactions concluded on BVB (the Bucharest Stock Exchange) and keeps record of the issuers’ registries. Central Depository is a share holding company, member of BVB group, supplying services to the issuers, to the brokers and to the holders of financial instruments.
