To meet all the demands over the period, the passenger transport companies supplemented the number of coaches by up to 25 percent. Despite the global economic crisis, both when coming home and leaving, the Romanians had the bags full. Before Christmas they brought sweets, toys and all kind of gifts, now when leaving they have stuffed their bags with Romanian traditional food.
Nevertheless, before going out of the country, those traveling both by car and by coach stop at the bakeries in Pecica, Nadlac or Turnu, at the Romanian western border and buy fresh bread and pastry, as they say those made here are much tastier than in the countries where they live now. Settled or only working in the West, most of the Romanians who are leaving to their adoptive countries these days are expected come back to Romania in three months, for Easter, and only if they will financially afford it, as most of them confess.
