Loading ...The approval included 60 amendments to be submitted in the following days to the joint committees for budget, finances and banks. The Ministry of Environment and Forests will get almost 1.7 billion lei in budget for 2010, more by 15.57 percent compared with the preliminary figures in 2009. As regards strictly to environment protection, there will be allotted an amount higher by 30.53 percent, on 2009.
The largest amounts will be allotted to preservation and durable use of water resources, and also to water-related emergency situations. In 2010, the Ministry of Environment and Forests will continue with the implementation of two Phare 2006 projects, in the case of which there was obtained a prolonging of the deadline, as well as 10 projects being carried out under the Transaction Facility assistance to Romania 2007 programme.
The total value of these projects accounts for 7.6 million euros, with the money to be fully ensured via PHARE funds and via the National Pre-Accession Fund. Moreover, the Ministry had negotiated with the European Commission the approval of the Sectoral Operational Programme ‘Environment’, having obtained non-repayable financial assistance worth 4.5 billion euros, with public co-financing worth 1.1 billion euros to be added.
