During the meeting, which among other things aimed at finding a common viewpoint on the question of the pensions, the representatives of the two political groups reached the conclusion that they could not afford to finance the increase in the pension point. “The pension point will be the one provided in the state budget, the one established by the Government.
Everybody is dissatisfied. Neither the UDMR parliamentarians nor the PD-L ones are satisfied, but we cannot afford to finance a higher pension point now. It is impossible. Only if we increase the budget deficit, but this implies some more loans. The budget of the national pension house has no money, it can not afford to finance a higher pension point,” UDMR executive chairman Hunor Kelemen told on Thursday.
He also confirmed the fact that during the meeting of the coalition they also discussed the allotment of 6-7 positions of secretary of state to UDMR. “We have not yet established the persons. We shall do it in the days to come. Now we are talking about ministries. We have not talked about agencies or other structures,” added Hunor Kelemen.
According to the leader of the Union, some of the ministries to have secretaries of state from UDMR are the Education, the Regional Development and Tourism, the Agriculture and Rural Development, the Economy, Trade and the Business Environment ones.
