Romania has lodged 61 applications in the programme, so far, which means a quarter of the total. Most of the applications were registered in fields such as fashion design, energy and environment technologies.
The companies willing to expand to the Far East must have their hqs. registered in the EU, a five-year market experience, at the shortest, and most or all their shareholders should be European, and their turnover and number of employees should be large enough so that they should guarantee them entering the Japanese and the South Korean markets. ‘A novelty element for this year’s missions, is the focus on the green technologies and constructions.
Therefore, the economic missions in fields such as the construction, the energy and the environment technologies will happen, at the same time, both in Japan, namely in Feb. 2010, and in South Korea, in June 2010, this offering enlarged cooperation opportunities to the European bidders, on one hand, and to the Japanese or the South Korean ones, on the other,’ the Financiarul quotes Deloitte Management Consulting Business Analysts Raluca Clapon as saying. The EU Gateway Programme, started in 2008, is structured by six cycles with economic missions, over six years.
