“I shall try to restructure the system in such a way that the European policies should more easily be integrated horizontally and we should come closer to the situation in which the member states, through their foreign ministries, from top to bottom, could identify their Romanian counterparts. Let us create landmarks that can immediately be spotted at all levels of authority and competence in MAE [the Ministry of Foreign Affairs],” said Baconschi.
As for the Romanians everywhere, the chief diplomat said that he would request the embassies to all states in which there are Romanian communities to pay utmost attention to them, to help them, not only by consular assistance, but also by events that should enable people to know one another, to associate.
