The programme is part of the company’s strategy for the automation and optimization of the laboratory processes and operations. RQC is the first company of this type in Romania to adopt this programme.
“For the following year, the company wants to maintain a turnover similar to the one of 2009, of roughly 6.1 million dollars, and, in case the specialized market shows signs of recovery, to increase the financial indicator by maximum ten percent”, said Rompetrol Quality Control General Manager Ruxandra Nicola.
LIMS ensures the computerization of the company’s laboratory activity (collection, analysis and communication of results), offering the necessary platform for the connection of the laboratory equipment with the management and reporting programmes.
This will allow an improvement of the operational efficiency, by ensuring quick easy access to all stored laboratory data, an increase in the processed quantities and in the information archiving speed, a reduction of calculation and processing errors, as well as an improvement of the quality control or of the results’ traceability.
Established in 2009, RQC ensures by means of the six accredited laboratories complete analyses for oil products (including bio-fue ls – biodiesel, bioethanol), water, soil, physical and chemical pollutants at workplace, weather factors, surrounding environment and specific micro-climates. The analyses made by RQC are accepted in over 70 countries that are signatories of the international acceptance agreements.
