In this context, Antonie Popescu, the lawyer pleading the cause of the Association at the European Court of Human Rights (ECH R) on Wednesday held a press conference occasion on which he said that a document from MAI on the revolution of December 1989 is mentioning the word ‘terrorist’. ‘In one of the reports it is said very clearly that they found a terrorist and that they handed over his corpse to the Military Hospital Morgue.
No prosecutor has ever investigated into this issue or followed this lead to find out how did things got here’, Antonie Popescu told a press conference. We remind you that, on Tuesday, the Chairman of the Association Teodor Maries went back on hunger strike, protesting against relevant authorities delaying to send the full records on the Romanian revolution of 1989 and on the Miners’ Riot of June 13-15, 1990, and also against the non¬fulfillment of the aspirations of the Romanian society as they were uttered during the Revolution.
The President of the Association has been on hunger strike for 74 days between August 4 to October 16, requesting the CEDO provisions regarding the solving of the Revolution and the Miners’ Riot files.
